What kind of camera do you use?
Currently I use the Canon HV20. The best in compact HD you will ever get at consumer price. It amazes me how much high definition is packed into this camera. This HD camera alone is already helping my goal one step at a time. From helping my friends film projects, to filming for www.churchatthefalls.com.
My last camcorder I used to use was the Canon ZR100. It's provided me with lots of memories filming all of my movies.

What program do you use to edit your movies?
I currently use Adobe Premier CS3 to edit my movies. It's delivered very high quality videos and I'm proud of it. The last editing program I used to use was called Magix Movie Edit Pro 11. I'm still very surprised that no one has ever heard of the program. My videos look A LOT more professional than the videos I used to make with Windows Movie Maker. This teaches you that you can learn ANYTHING if you put your mind to it!
Where do you get your sounds and music?
The sounds and music I used to use for my older movies were just those free sounds you can get anywhere. I usually go to www.findsounds.com if I need to look up a quick sound effect.
Sometimes I buy professional music and sounds of SoundRangers.com and they all sound very clean and professional.
I also download royalty free music and scores from the famous, Kevin Macleod. You can use his work from www.incompetech.com. Just be sure to give him the required credit.
